Evaluating the Speech and Language Abilities of English Language Learners

She is currently a practicing SLP living in Guatemala, and she provides video therapy to her home country of the United States. During this training, Dr. Blackwell will give participants the basics of the speech pathologist’s role with ELL students. Attendees will learn about 3 areas of focus: cultural competence, dynamic assessment, and best practices when assessing ELL students. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of the SLP’s role with ELL students

A School Approach to Sensory Processing Disorders

Many of the undesired behaviors that manifest in the classroom are the result of sensory processing disorders. Program Content Participants of this session will learn to identify 8 sensory areas that may be deficient in students with sensory processing disorder.
